Coaxial
What is a coaxial cable?
A coaxial cable is a type of wire that consists of a centre wire surrounded by insulation and then a grounded shield of braided wire around it. |
How does a coaxial cable work?
A coaxial cable is the same as any other wire other than the fact that it has a centre conductor and the other wire lead is wrapped around the centre conductor, which is usually separated by a foam core. This makes it ideal for carrying different types of signals that need to be `clean' when it arrives at the end. |
